About Ubud Hotels Association - MISSION & VISION
What is UHA?
The Ubud Hotels Association (UHA) is a non-profit, non-government organization whose regular membership is comprised primarily of hoteliers with a category of allied members who actively service the hospitality industry. UHA is an active participant in major decision-making bodies affecting the growth development and maintainance of the tourism industry.
Mission Statement:
The Ubud Hotels Association will encourage and support the sustainable growth of member hotels through lobbying efforts, national and international linkages, marketing initiatives and training opportunities.
- To maintain active partnerships and links both internationally and locally with Government ministries, non-government agencies, associations and individuals to further the improvement of the tourism industry.
- To be a proactive and reactive lobbying force with the Government of Ubud for the benefit of the accommodation sector.
- To organize and support relevant and affordable workshops, seminars, and training opportunities for the tourism Industry.
- To organize, facilitate and support productive sales, advertising and marketing opportunities for members through co-operative advertising programs.

- Lobbying
Critical to the development of the industry are the combined and coordinated efforts of the Government of Ubud and the private sector. UHA takes seriously its role of lobbying for actions that maintain and enhance confidence in the Ubud tourism product. - Product Development
The hotel plant cannot be successful on its own and must be well-integrated in the development of the Ubud tourism product. UHA is a leading participant in initiatives to improve visitor experiences as well as the benefits to Ubud and the local economy.
- Marketing and advertising
Marketing and advertising is vital to member' success. However, the cost of pursuing a successful marketing program is prohibitive for many small hotels. UHA provides economical cooperative opportunities for marketing in all media as well as timely distribution of information on additional marketing opportunities including sales leads from magazine advertising, media visits and industry meetings.
