Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud Receives Gold Eco Climate Badge from Eco Tourism Bali for Outstanding Sustainability Commitment
Ubud, Bali – 5 Jun 2025 – Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud is proud to announce it has been awarded the Gold Eco Climate Badge by Eco Tourism Bali, the highest level of certification in the Eco Tourism Bali Sustainability Verification Program. This prestigious recognition highlights the resort’s steadfast dedication to environmental responsibility, sustainable tourism practices, and community engagement.
The Gold Badge reflects Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud’s successful completion of a comprehensive evaluation process based on rigorous sustainability indicators. These included resource efficiency, pollution reduction, biodiversity protection, and positive socio-economic contributions to the local community. The certification affirms that the resort not only meets but exceeds the environmental and ethical standards established by Eco Tourism Bali.
“Sustainability has always been a core value of our resort,” said Endy Hermawan, General Manager of Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud. “Earning the Gold Eco Climate Badge is a testament to the dedication, passion, and teamwork of our entire staff. We are deeply honored by this recognition, and it fuels our ongoing mission to lead by example in responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.”
This achievement is also closely tied to Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud’s signature sustainability program, 1% for Smiles and Trees, an initiative that allocates 1% of resort revenue from direct booking to environmental restoration and social impact projects. As the resort expands with the upcoming launch of the new Royal One-Bedroom Pool Villa and Two-Bedroom Pool Villa in July 2025, its commitment to giving back grows stronger. Arkamara is determined to ensure that its growth directly contributes to the well-being of both the natural environment and the local community.
The Eco Climate Badge serves to spotlight tourism enterprises that prioritize sustainability at the heart of their operations. Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud’s accomplishment not only reinforces its leadership in eco-conscious hospitality in Bali but also represents a powerful step forward for the tourism industry in embracing responsible development.
Arkamara Dijiwa Ubud views the Gold Badge not as a final achievement but as a milestone in a continuous journey. The resort is actively enhancing its environmental programs,
strengthening collaborations with local partners, and raising awareness among guests and team members about sustainable living practices.
